Rexford Place is a development of 15 newly constructed rental units located on scattered sites in two city neighborhoods. The properties were built by developer Housing Opportunities and builder Nathaniel General Contractors in 2006. Most of the rental units in this development are single-family homes. The homes will rent to families that are not ready for home ownership but are eager to live in a stand-alone house. The project is funded in part by low income housing tax credits. At the end of the 15 compliance period, these houses will be sold to eligible tenants at a very low price. Greater Rochester Housing Partnership provided an $800,000 construction loan for Rexford Place.
